You know my fears,
You felt them in the garden.
You know my longings,
You faced them in the desert.

You know my hopes and dreams,
You sought them on the mountain.
You know my restless tears,
You calmed them with the sea.

You know my groaning
For a great deliverance.
You know my shame-faced guilt,
While stooping in the clay.

You know my hope deferred,
As on that Friday,
When darkness stole all light
From under me.

What's more, You know a
peace-filled Sunday morning.
You know of life which
Follows after death.

You know a rainbow
Cutting through the darkness.
You know my Advocate,
Who is my rest.

I need not fear through
Death's dark-shadow'd valleys,
Because my Faithful Shepherd
Walks with me.

To You, O Lamb of God,
I give all glory.
O Holy One, in whom
I am redeemed.
